PRINCIPALS
Jonathan S. Ziss was educated at Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he earned an A.B. in English, with cum laude honors, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Jonathan is also a graduate of the Villanova University School of Law, where he served as a staff member of The Villanova Law Review. Jonathan has accumulated a significant amount of trial and appellate experience in the state and federal courts as well as before administrative tribunals.
Jonathan joined Goldberg Segalla LLP as a partner in February 2011. Goldberg Segalla is a business litigation firm with 10 offices across CT, NJ, NY and PA. Jonathan concentrates his practice in the area of commercial litigation, casualty litigation, professional liability, aviation litigation, and insurance coverage disputes. In 1995, Jonathan successfully litigated the precedent setting art law case Erisoty vs. Rizik, involving disputed title to a 250-year-old Italian masterpiece. The "balance of equities" applied by the United States District Court in that particular case has been repeatedly cited in subsequent judicial decisions and has attracted widespread scholarly analysis.
Jonathan is the Managing Director of ATA.
Mark C. Mendelsohn attended the University of Wisconsin where he graduated with Honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. After completing the Examination process and becoming a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, he held actuarial positions with several life insurance companies.
As Vice President of INA Life Insurance Corporation (CIGNA), Mr. Mendelsohn was a leader in the development of the use of Structured Settlements in the resolution of tort and other liability claims. He has extensive experience in this area, has addressed industry and other associations, and served as a Director of the National Structured Settlements Trade Association.
Mark is the ATA's Director of Marketing.
Lloyd P. Goldenberg is an Honors and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Wisconsin and an Honors graduate of the Harvard Law School. Mr. Goldenberg’s 30 plus years legal practice has focused on domestic and international business transactions and asset protection planning with an emphasis on due diligence analysis. He has been featured as an art law expert in such publications as The Boston Globe, the Art Newspaper, California Lawyer and London’s The Sunday Telegraph. Mr. Goldenberg has lectured frequently on stolen art issues and served as the Vice Chair of the Cultural Property Committee of the International Law Section of the American Bar Association.
